"The walking paths really need attention"
We visited GVZoo recently, the walking paths made the day more frustrating than fun for us. I don’t expect everything to be perfect, but I do think clear, stroller-friendly paths and helpful signs should be a basic standard at a place like this. Some areas felt uneven, the layout was confusing, and the signs didn’t do much to help. We ended up backtracking a lot instead of just enjoying the animals, which was disappointing.

"Had a feeling it might be overhyped"
I kind of had a gut feeling this seasonal event might not live up to the hype, and unfortunately that was right. It was way too crowded, everything felt overpriced, and the kids lost interest quickly. We tried to make the best of it, but it just wasn’t worth it for us.

"Kinda dissapointing"
I went thinking there would be way more animals to see, but the variety was poor. A lot of the place felt empty, and by the end I just didn’t feel like it was worth the trip.

"Parking was a real headache"
The parking situation kind of ruined the start of our visit. It took way too long to find a spot, and the layout was confusing enough to make it even more annoying. If you’ve got kids with you or a bunch of stuff to carry, it’s really not convenient. We ended up spending more time dealing with parking than we expected, and it was a frustrating way to kick off the day.
"Fun idea, but getting around was a mess"
I was excited when we got there, but that wore off quickly because the signage was just terrible. One minute we were laughing about being lost, and the next we were genuinely annoyed because we kept walking in circles trying to find the animals, food, and eventually even the exit. Some signs seemed to be missing completely, and the ones that were there weren’t very clear. The map didn’t really save us either. For a place that big, finding your way around should be way easier. It could’ve been a great visit, but the frustration kind of took over.

"place felt dirty"
i was disappointed with how dirty the zoo felt when we visited. there was trash around, the bathrooms were gross, and a few areas just seemed like they hadn’t been taken care of in a while.

I was hoping to see more of the conservation work in action, but it felt like it was mostly just talked about. By the end, I still wasn’t really sure where the support or donations actually go. It wasn’t a bad experience, just a little unclear

"Gross bathrooms"

"Felt overpriced for what it was"
I don’t know, maybe we missed something, but it just felt way too expensive for what we ended up doing. The place itself was fine, nothing terrible, but with a family it adds up fast and I didn’t really feel like the value was there. There was a lot of walking around and not as much as we expected for the ticket price. We left feeling kind of disappointed and wishing we had used the money on something else.

"Frustrating to Use With a Screen Reader"
I had a really hard time using this site with my screen reader. Some of the buttons didn’t read correctly, and I kept getting stuck just trying to find basic information. What made it even more frustrating was that I seemed to get inconsistent answers depending on where I looked, so I never felt sure I was getting the right info. Overall, it was confusing and not a smooth experience

"Really could use more shade and places to sit"
I wanted to enjoy the zoo more, but we kept getting worn out because there just wasn’t enough shade or seating. Like, you’d think you could find a bench after walking around for a while, but we kept looking and looking and ended up just standing there tired. It kind of took the fun out of it, especially with kids or if you’re there with older family members. The animals were nice to see, but the whole time I was thinking, okay, where can we sit for a minute?

"Membership literally wasn’t worth it"
We signed up for the membership thinking it would help us save a decent amount, but it just didn’t feel worth the money. The perks were limited, and we still ended up paying for a lot of things anyway. After a couple visits, it felt like we were literally just trying to justify what we had already spent. I wouldn’t renew it again.

"Nice place, but getting help felt like too much work"
Overall, it’s a nice place and I still enjoyed parts of the visit, but getting basic info was more frustrating than it should’ve been. I asked staff about the animals and a few directions, and they seemed unsure. I ended up having to ask more than once and still got different answers, which made it feel like there were way too many steps just to figure things out. It could definitely be better with clearer guidance and more consistent help.

I went on gvzoo.com to check ticket prices and honestly... I just kind of closed the page. For a family visit, it adds up so fast, and suddenly it doesn’t feel like a simple day out anymore.
I know places like this aren’t cheap to run, I get that. But still, the prices felt like a lot. We probably would’ve gone if it was a bit more reasonable, just not at that cost.

"Awkward visit and frustrating policies"
I really wanted to have a good time at gvzoo.com, but the staff made the whole visit feel kind of uncomfortable. We asked a couple of simple questions and a few workers acted like we were interrupting their day, which was awkward.
One person barely even looked at us while answering, and it just gave off the vibe that guests were a hassle. What made it more annoying is how places like this always seem to have little policy loopholes that work in their favor, but when you need a bit of flexibility or basic help, suddenly the rules are super strict.
Maybe everyone was just having an off day, but for the price and the time we spent there, I expected at least some basic friendliness. I left feeling more annoyed than relaxed, so I doubt we’ll be going back anytime soon.

"Gift shop was kind of a letdown"
We stopped in the gift shop after our visit, thinking we’d maybe grab a little souvenir or a shirt, but it was disappointing. The prices felt really high for basic toys and tees, and I kept doing that thing where you pick something up, check the tag, and immediately put it back.
I asked a staff member about a size and they didn’t really seem interested, just sort of pointed me in the general direction and walked away. By then I was already tired from the day, and I don’t know, it just took the fun out of it. We ended up leaving with nothing, which was a bummer way to wrap up the visit.

"Pretty underwhelming for the price"
We spent about an hour there, and that felt like enough. There just wasn’t a whole lot that kept us wanting to walk around, and a few areas felt tired. For what it cost, I was expecting more to see and do. The kids got bored fast too.

I was hoping this would keep the kids entertained for a while, but they got bored way faster than I expected. They checked it out for a bit, and then it was like, okay, what’s next? Kind of frustrating because I thought it would hold their attention longer.

"Train Ride Was Disappointing"
We mostly came for the little train ride, it was kind of a letdown. The wait was way longer than expected, and then the ride itself felt over in no time. There also wasn’t much to actually see from it, which made it feel even less worth it. The staff were okay, but nobody really explained what was going on with the delay. For the price, I definitely expected more. The zoo itself was fine, but whoever runs this train setup really needs to rethink it.
